Increase the University’s visual presence as a premier metropolitan university through its state-of-the-art design;
Provide initial revenue to fund faculty development and research opportunities;
Widely promote upcoming campus events, such as arts performances, lectures, news honoring alumni and outstanding teaching and community service faculty; and
Provide community outreach at no cost to the University.
Display emergency and disaster information through effective real-time messaging;
Alert the public to safety situations, broadcasting images of wanted fugitives and Amber Alerts (of which California has a 97 percent success rate);
Provide an economic benefit through local businesses advertisement placement; and
Reduce the amount of billboards in the area. In agreement with the City of Sacramento, Clear Channel Outdoor will remove six billboards directly located around the University’s neighborhood, for a total net reduction of 1,056 square feet.
