Sacramento State’s Digital Sign located near Highway 50 can be used to alert motorists about highway conditions and law-enforcement emergencies and inform the public about campus events. The Digital Sign will display up to eight messages every 64 seconds, and Sacramento State will program one of those messages.
Requests to have an event featured on the Sacramento State Digital Sign Message Board must be submitted to Public Affairs using the Digital Sign Submission Form or by sending an e-mail to digisign@csus.edu. The event must be submitted at least three weeks before the event.
Submission Policy
To be featured on the Digital Communication Sign, events must meet the following criteria:
- Be of broad community interest
- Must be campus-sponsored rather than campus-hosted
- Be non-political
Priority will be given to:
- Events that have academic applications, such as college-based lectures, performances and exhibits as opposed to purely entertainment-based
- Events that would benefit from audience generation, such as those where tickets are sold through the Sacramento State Ticket Office
- Events that support the campus strategic plan, such as recruitment messages
