CMS to IFAS Conversion Details
The financial accounting system utilized by University Enterprises, Inc. is called IFAS. This system replaces CMS with the transfer of business operations for the University Foundation at Sacramento State to University Enterprises. The following information should help with the transition.
Data Transferred from CMS to IFAS
For CMS Fund Codes (IFAS Account Code) starting with the letter X only, all General Ledger transaction detail and fund balance records will be copied to IFAS for:
- Fiscal 2004/05 (i.e. July 1, 2004 thru June 30, 2005)
- Fiscal 2005/06 records through Dec. 31, 2005 (i.e. July 1, 2005 thru Dec. 31, 2005).
All University Foundation at Sacramento State activities starting January 1, 2006 and beyond (for X accounts only) will be posted only in the University Enterprises IFAS system and not in CMS.
Names and Code Changes
While every attempt was made to retain the labels used to describe the data and the actual codes themselves from the CMS system, transferring the University Foundation at Sacramento State financial information to a new accounting system did require a few changes.

| Fund Code |
Account Code |

The same CMS Fund Code was used to create the IFAS Account Code with the exception of adding a zero "0" to convert the CMS (5) character Fund Code to IFAS’s (6) character Account Code.
Example: CMS Fund X0288 = IFAS Account X02880

Object Code |

Because the CMS Account is (6) digits and IFAS uses a (4) digit Object Code, the CMS Account number could not be used in IFAS. The IFAS equivalents of each CMS Account number can be downloaded below.

Dept. Code |

The same CMS Department Code was used to create the IFAS Department Code with the exception of placing the letter "T" in front of the CMS Department Code.
Example: CMS Dept. Code 27400 = IFAS Dept. Code T27400
