Sacramento State and University Enterprises, Inc. are developing the Village located on 25 acres near campus. The neighborhood is targeted specifically for university faculty and staff. It will be more affordable than market housing, and will contain many advanced features regarding energy efficiency, transit orientation, etc. The Village will be a significant enhancement to the University environment and the Sacramento community as a whole.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- A History page [link] has been added to this website, describing the history of the name “Ramona” and the development history of the area surrounding the Village.
- Comments have been received on the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Report and responses are in preparation. Happily, none of the comments highlighted any significant environmental issues with the project.
- JD Franz Market Research conducted focus groups of faculty and staff members to discuss the Village. Participants expressed many hopes, opinions, and concerns. Responses to many of these issues are in preparation, and shortly will be published on this website as Frequently Asked Questions.
- Civil engineering work is continuing. The final site plan will be posted and described on this site.New information is posted regarding Affordability, the Ground Lease, and Resale Price Calculations.
