Collegiate Environment

Right away, and sure to become amazing over time, Ramona Village will create an extraordinary environment for cooperation, productivity, sharing, and fun among Sac State staff and faculty.  For example:

• Neighborhood gathering spots, garage sales, and events will create new opportunities for meeting and sharing. 
• Kids of faculty and staff will play together and go to school together.  Parents will talk with other parents.
• Even the simplest things like helping a neighbor with household chores or borrowing a book will build relationships that may not exist today.
• Retired faculty and staff living in the Village will be a marvelous source of cultural and educational stimulation for younger faculty/staff and their families.
• The University's computer network will extend to the Village.  Working from home could never be easier.
• The University library will be right there when you need it.
• The separation between work and home will diminish.  It will be quick and easy to attend evening performances on-campus, participate in weekend events, or scoot back to the office to retrieve a forgotten item.  Sac State's Tram rides just might evolve from simple commute trips to social events of their own.
• New folks moving into Ramona Village will always be from the targeted eligible residents, eager to participate in all the Village has to offer.
