Recreation
Ramona Village's central location provides easy access to a host of recreational opportunties:
- American River Access
The beautiful American River is a few blocks from the Village. This summertime paradise is sure to draw Village residents frequently for fishing or a refreshing dip in the cool clear water. The American River Trail is nationally known recreational resource.
- Granite Regional Park
An easy stroll from the Village, Granite Regional Park, when completed, will be one of the largest and most popular outdoor recreation sites in the county. Facilities include: a dog park, a skateboard park, a cross-country running course, tennis courts, picnic tables, soccer field with artificial turf and night lighting, softball or baseball diamonds, an amphitheater, trails around the park, several lakes, handball courts, a skateboard park, a roller hockey rink, volleyball courts and acres of grassland.
- Tahoe Tallac Park
Just across Ramona Ave. and the railroad to the west, Tahoe Tallac Park has extensive baseball and softball fields, with night lighting.
- Sacramento State Campus
Recreational facilities abound on campus. Ball fields of all descriptions, gyms, exercise facilities, green lawns, deep shade, and beautiful walking and running trails will all be just a tram ride away from the Village. Top it off with a stop at your favorite campus eatery.
